5:What comes after Listening?

We make disciples through listening first... but what comes next?

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Ephesians 2: 8-9

What comes after listening. We listen to those who may not believe in God but the next step is just as crucial. When we ask others what they believe they tend to ask what we believe in back. Our answer to this should be consistent. Yes, from denomination to denomination there are small differences but our answer to this should be the same across the board. The answer? the answer should always be the gospel. We believe that God sent his only son to live a perfect life and die for our sins. We believe that not only did he die for us he came back from the dead three days later to further prove he is the son of God. We believe that if you accept God into your heart you are saved. And, above all we believe that Jesus loves you, me and everyone. This should be our answer. I truly believe that if we use these words we can make people intrigued about our great God. Slowly we can restore this broken world through the teaching of the Gospel. At the end of the day heaven should be a gift for everybody, and I wholeheartedly believe this is the best way to make that a possibility. Listen first, then respond with the Gospel: it is that simple. The Gospel can change lifes, and we can change lifes one step at a time.
